Digital Full-Arch Immediate Implant Reconstruction
Course Description
This course is a live-patient experience that takes participants through a comprehensive full-arch digital workflow. Instructors include surgical and prosthodontic specialists, as well as experienced full-arch general dentists and lab technicians. The course leverages digital workflows and guided surgery to minimize complications, both surgically and prosthetically, and exposes attendees to multiple approaches for full-arch treatment.
Participants will follow cases from evaluation and pre-op records to digital prosthetic planning, through guided surgical procedures, and culminating with a 3D-printed provisional hybrid delivered to the patient. Attendees must be accomplished in oral surgical procedures, routinely place implants, perform grafting, and be comfortable with large flap reflection and suturing.
Surgical instructor is a periodontist.
Prosthetic instructor is a prosthodontist.

Day 1: Surgical and Prosthetic Considerations*
- Introduction to fixed full-arch implant rehabilitation
- Review of guided surgery options
- Pre-surgical and surgical digital treatment planning
- Surgical treatment planning review of all live-patient cases
- Specific surgical techniques for full-arch implant cases — anesthesia, flap reflection, achieving implant stability, bone grafting, suturing
- Review of implant systems instrumentation
- Review of various immediate load conversion techniques — conventional, stackable, SDC, OptiSplint
- OptiSplint technique
- Surgical complications and long-term maintenance protocols
- Review of full-arch protocols
- Review of bio-mechanical considerations — angled implants, cantilevers, short implants
- Review of implant prosthetic components
- Review of implant digital workflows
- Review of immediate load protocols
- Review of full-arch prosthetic complications
*Includes mix of lectures and hands-on exercises
Day 2 & 3: Surgery and Immediate Load Records
- Use stackable guides for bone reduction and guided implant placement
- OptiSplint records to communicate final implant position to lab
- Send files to lab process
- Print/process immediate load prosthesis (delegated)
- Printing & milling of provisionals
Day 4: Characterization and Delivery
- Characterize the verified provisional prosthesis
- Deliver prosthesis to patients
- Final photos/videos
- Discussion and review
